MARIA THERESA P. LAZARO MEETS WITH MUBA 2009 SWISS OFFICIALS

During her visit to Basel, Philippine Ambassador
to Switzerland Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, accompanied by First
Secretary and Consul Margarita S. Ibayan, met with the MUBA 2009
official organizers from MCH Messe Schweiz namely Mr. Dieter Hug,
Head of Businessunit Development, with Mr. Christoph Lanz, Head of
Group Management Services and Legal Department and Ms. Bettina Gysin,
Guest Country Project Manager. The group exchanged views on the
dynamic structure and technology systems that are developed and
constructed for various international exhibitions held at the
Exhibitions Center in Basel.
The Philippines, as Guest Country for MUBA
2009, will have the opportunity to showcase its world-class goods
and services to Switzerland's highly sophisticated consumer market.
MUBA 2009 will be held on 13-22 February 2009 at the Exhibitions
Center in Basel. The Department of Tourism headed by Secretary
Joseph H. Durano spearheaded the event in coordination with the
Phil-Swiss Business Council, European Chamber of Commerce of the
Philippines, Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Basel, and the
Embassy of the Philippines in Berne.
