The Philippine Embassy will be closed to the public on the following dates, in observance of Philippine and Swiss Public Holidays:

Those who have changed their addresses after the registration period (November 2011- October 2012) are encouraged to immediately advise the Philippine Embassy in Berne so that their ballots will be mailed to their new addresses.

Overseas voters registered with the Embassy should regularly monitor the Embassy’s announcement on the list of overseas voters whose ballot envelopes have been forwarded by the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to the Philippine Embassy in Berne.

Those whose ballot envelopes have been forwarded by COMELEC to the Philippine Embassy in Berne may pick up their ballot envelopes at the Embassy anytime from Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 n.n. and 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.  Alternatively, said voters may advise the Embassy of their address so it can send the ballot envelopes to said address.

Voters are advised that their ballots must be received by the Philippine Embassy in Berne from 13 April 2013 to 13 May 2013 (until 7:00 p.m., Philippine Time).

The COMELEC has started sending out the notices of Disapproval of Registration/ Certification as Overseas Voter.  For those applications are disapproved, they may wish to file a motion for reconsideration of their applications directly with the COMELEC's Resident Election Registration Board (RERB), through their representatives in the Philippines within five (5) days) from receipt of notice of disapproval of application for registration.

Starting Friday, 1 March 2013, Post Finance Swiss Post will no longer be accepting Postanweisung/ Postal Money order.  Applicants can send their cash/ payments by "registered letter" value added service.  Letter contents are insured up to a value of 500 francs.  Cash can also be sent by A Mail Plus, the contents of which are insured up to a value of 100 francs.

Power failures, technical breakdowns and natural calamities may delay the release of passports. Applicants are advised to book flights taking into consideration such incidents. NO REFUND of fees will be made on account of these unforeseen delays.

The public is advised to secure their passports prior to booking their flights.

Flight bookings should ONLY be made if passports are still valid for at least six (6) months.

Die Philippinische Botschaft in der Schweiz hat die Meldung erhalten dass ein gewisser ausländischer Staatsangehöriger namens A. Weinert, wohnhaft auf den Philippinen, im Namen der Firma „EEI Corporation“ Arbeitskräfte anwirbt.

 Angeblich verschwand Herr Weinert nachdem er hunderte Schweizer Franken, durch Banküberweisungen von Interessenten in der Schweiz, erhalten hatte.

 Hiermit sollen Schweizer Bürger in Kenntnis gesetzt werden dass dies ein Betrug ist, und dass die EEI Corporation keine Arbeitskräfte in der Schweiz anwirbt.


It has been reported to the Philippine Embassy in Switzerland that a certain foreign national by the name of Mr. A. Weinert, based in the Philippines, has been recruiting Swiss nationals in Switzerland using the name of the company “EEI Corporation”.

 Mr. Weinert allegedly collects several hundred Swiss francs from interested parties in Switzerland, via bank transfers, and then disappears from his victims.

 Swiss nationals are hereby notified that this is a scam and that EEI Corporation has denied undertaking any recruitment activity in Switzerland.
