H.E. Ambassador Leslie J. Baja

Ambassador Baja arrived in Berne on 25 July 2011.  Prior to his assumption of post in Switzerland, he was the Assistant Secretary (Director General) for European Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Manila.

Ambassador Baja has been with the DFA for the past 25 years and his previous positions include as Minister and Consul General at the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, Second Secretary at the Philippine Embassy in Athens, Director of the Passport Division of the DFA, and Assistant Director of the Office of United Nations and International Organizations of the DFA.

He is married to Noralyn Jubaira-Baja, also a career diplomat and has two children.

Ambassador Baja is also accredited to the Principality of Liechtenstein as non-resident Ambassador.
